 Greek Masterpieces from the Louvre @ National Museum of Singapore
Date and Time 9 December 2007 to 16 March 2008, 10am to 6pm, Daily
Venue Exhibition Galleries, Basement
 It was really cool. YJC brought all JC2 students to this rare opportunity to view Classical Greek masterpieces from the renowned Louvre museum right here in Singapore! Presented for the first time in Southeast Asia, some 130 exquisite pieces such as the marbles from the Nointel collection, the statues from the royal collection and precious vases, terracotta figurines and gold jewellery from the 5th to the 1st centuries BCE will bring to life the story of Athens.
 The Louvre rarely loans out more than a dozen items at any one time but has made an exception due to extensive refurbishment to the section containing its Classical Greek and Hellenistic collection. The last time the Louvre changed its Greek and Hellenistic galleries was some 200 years ago.
Since the museum did not allow us to use flash to take the pictures. Some of the pictures were of poor quality.. ah nonetheless, they are soooooo pretty!!!
 Prunella was one of the docents giving us the talk on the pretty woman sculptures.. hehh.. I just couldn't resist. I just had to take a picture with her..

 I rather like this lion.. It looks so real that the sculptor even managed to sculpture out the claws
It was totally LIFE-like.!!!
 These are the different artifacts used to depict the women of Athens and their lifestyles  Did you know that this vase-like thing is actually a trophy to reward the winners of each competition in the olden Athens times.!!!  hehh.. all of us were attempting to listen carefully to our friends- doscents, telling us more about the different masterpieces. ermm.. hah.. all except me.. (:  There's so much to see at the museum that i did'nt seem possible for me to upload every single pieces of sculptures there. (: Anyhow, the museum closed at 6pm so we left early..  me and Marcus! so cute right.. :/ wah,, i so REFUSE to take pictures with the other more "Artistic-inclined" posters. ah. one word. Obsence lo.. alrightalright.. they are ARTS! what the.  Marcus, Xuan Kai and Perry ! :D The guys are getting horny lo..
 Me and michelle at the LADIES! I so LOVE the bathroom can?! it's so nice! wahhh.. i run out of adjectives liao..  This is the window that had me and Qin Yi so fascinated that we drawled and daillyed over the white window for ages.  the inside of the museum look like a cathedral.. WOOOOWW~~~  Some more pictures.. ah.. a girl was standing there.. wei, you a bit ruin my photo leh! :) hehh  of course, here is my self cam-whoring part! at the entrance of the museum!  and the museum at the distance as we left it.  byebye , Greek pieces!! :( i will miss you all!! esp , all that really HOT and SEXY sculptures! :)  I had a good laugh over this funny advertisment today.. it's really funny at the moment how the girl was readying to dive.. .. right into a patch of GRASS!!! :) mann..
